Game Day Chicken Wing Dry Rub

  • Brown Sugar                       1 c
  • Salt, Kosher                        8 t
  • Black Pepper                       8 t
  • Smoked Paprika                  8 t
  • Garlic Powder                     4 t
  • Onion Powder                     4 t
  • Ground Mustard                 4 t
  • Ground Cinnamon               2 t
  • Chili Powder                       2 t
  • Celery Seed                        2 t
  • Ground Cayenne                 1 t
  • BBQ sauce (for assembly)    ¼ c


  • Mix all ingredients except BBQ sauce together in a pint container.
  • Sprinkle dry rub on chicken wings (1 tablespoon of dry rub per 6 chicken wings). Make sure to coat evenly.
  • Let sit overnight in the refrigerator.
  • The following day, fry chicken wings until done.
  • To assemble, toss 1 tablespoon of dry rub and ¼ cup BBQ sauce onto the wings.
  • Grill until charred.
  • Serve hot.
