Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime Homecoming celebration!

We're kicking off Virginia Tech's Sesquicentennial Celebration at Homecoming. Hokie Nation is gearing up to mark 150 years of Virginia Tech. We're starting the weekend with a Friday parade and continuing the fun with a tailgate Saturday. 

Weekend Schedule

  • 3:30 p.m. Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Pass In Review
  • 7 p.m. Homecoming Parade (Down Main Street)
  • 8:15 p.m. Spirit Rally on the Drillfield
  • 8:45 p.m. Fireworks on the Drillfield
  • 9 a.m. Sesquicentennial HokieTalk: Expanding Knowledge
  • 9 a.m. Highty-Tighties Alumni Rehearsal on the Drillfield
  • 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Homecoming Tailgate at the Holtzman Alumni Center Lawn 
  • 3:30 p.m. Football Game Virginia Tech vs. Pitt 

Tailgate details

Kick off game day right at the Holtzman Alumni Center with the Homecoming Tailgate. We'll have food, drinks, games, music, and colleges and groups from across campus

Plus, you can even get the scoop on Reunion Weekend 2022 and start making plans to visit Blacksburg in the summer and hear from the Virginia Tech team behind Fightin' Hokies Lager from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

  • Tailgate: $10 in advance and $15 day-of

Tailgate admission for children 12 and younger is free.
