Registration includes access to all scheduled events, including tours and sessions, plus meals, happy hours, and drinks... you can even work out at McComas for free! When you sign up, the weekend is all inclusive. We’ll handle the fun, food, and more.

Wednesday, June 8

Thursday, June 9

  • All day: Cornerstone Alumni Programming (classes of 1971 and earlier) including evening banquet
  • All day: Shuttle services available for Cornerstone Alumni at the Holtzman Alumni Center
  • Special programming for the Class of 1971
  • 1-3 p.m.: Hokie Hike with Venture Out: Pandapas Pond. Meet fellow Hokies who enjoy the outdoors and say hello to the Blue Ridge Mountains again on this group hike. During the trip, we will take in the scenery, walk along a gentle path, listen to the sounds of nature, learn about local plants and wildlife from student staff, and discuss how to care for the environment. Transportation and instruction are included. This trip will meet at the Venture Out Center at 1 p.m. and return by 3 p.m. ($10 per person, 4 participant minimum, 12 participant maximum.) 
  • 3:30-6 p.m.: Virginia Tech Challenge Course. Don’t forget to add a challenge to your Hokie reunion experience! Make your way through a maze of obstacles leading to a zipline 40 feet above the ground. Our facilitators can provide tips and tricks to making it through the course or add extra challenges. All comfort levels welcome. (Fees for course apply)

  • 2-5 p.m.: Moss Arts Center Gallery Open House
  • 2:15-3:15 p.m.: A Taste of the Past: Doing Food History at Virginia Tech with Dr. Anna Zeide (at Colonial Hall, Squires Student Center)
  • 3-5 p.m.: Virginia Tech Kentland Farms and Dairy Facilities (at Kentland Farm, 5250 Whitethorne Road)
  • 3-4 p.m.: Global Business and Analytics Complex information session (at New Classroom Building, Room 160)
  •  5-6 p.m.: If Hokie Trees Could Talk, with Jamie King '10 (at Holtzman Alumni Center)
  • Newman Library Sesquicentennial Exhibit (open Wednesday-Friday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon-8 p.m.)
  • Breakzone available for free for all attendees

  • 7-10 p.m.: Class of 1972 50th Reunion Banquet (at Holtzman Alumni Center, Latham Ballroom)
  • 7-11:30 p.m.: Downtown Takeover. Enjoy some of Blacksburg's hit watering holes with included appetizers, plus a Happy Hour kickoff in the Upper Quad with the Corps of Cadets
  • 7:30 p.m.: Moss Arts Center Special Performance featuring the Grammy Award-winning band, Ranky Tanky. Discounted tickets available for reunion attendees

Saturday, June 11

  • 8-10 a.m.: University Club of Virginia Tech open house and continental breakfast. Directions and further information are listed online.
  • 9-9:30 a.m.: 50th Reunion Remembrance service for the classes of 1971 and 1972 (at Memorial Chapel)
  • 9-9:45 a.m.: Women in Business roundtable (at Assembly Hall in Holtzman Alumni Center)
  • 9-10:45 a.m.: Special Collections and University Archives Open House (at Newman Library)
  • 10-10:45 a.m.: Corps of Cadets Upper Quad Tour (at Upper Quad)
