Holtzman Alumni Center

Holtzman sign

About the center's namesake

The center is named for William B. Holtzman. Holtzman earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in horticulture in 1959.

He is president and founder of Holtzman Oil Corporation. He serves as vice chairman of the Campaign Steering Committee. In addition to his extraordinary support of the alumni and conference center, Holtzman has been a long-time supporter of university initiatives including the Corps of Cadets, the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, and the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies. For this generous support, the alumni center is named in his honor.

Holtzman Art Exibit

The Holtzman Alumni Center showcases alumni and local artists throughout the year on the second floor gallery. Stop by Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to view the exhibit.

Virginia Tech Columbarium

A columbarium where alumni and others from an extended university family may choose to be interred on the campus has been constructed on the grounds adjacent to Virginia Tech’s alumni center, along a grassy knoll in view of the Duck Pond. For more information regarding the Virginia Tech columbarium, contact Jay Whitlow at the Alumni Association at 540-231-2141 or JOWHITL4@vt.edu.
