Key Events
Each fall, the Ring Premiere event shares the reveal of the design of the Junior class ring through video animation in a multimedia presentation at Burruss Hall. Fireworks are displayed on the Drillfield immediately after the event. This year's Premiere will be October 5 at 8 p.m.

A tradition dating from 1934 beginning with the Corps of Cadets, the Virginia Tech Ring Dance is held in the spring each year and symbolizes the transition from junior to senior and the presentation of the highly anticipated class ring.
Juniors who purchase a ring will be eligible to receive Ring Dance tickets, which are required for attendance. Couples receive ribbons in their class colors, used to tie each other’s rings on their wrists. The celebration includes a ceremonial Class Ring presentation in the Squires Commonwealth Ballroom. The weekend is capped off with a fireworks display on the Drillfield, the Skipper cannon firing, and the playing of Silver Taps immediately after. Ring Dance for the Class of 2024 will be held March 24 and 25, 2023.
