Professor Matthew W. Hulver, who heads the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will talk about transforming human health through metabolism and obesity research.
Hulver will highlight ongoing and future health sciences initiatives in the college that strive to make a difference in the prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related diseases.
Hulver is also the assistant dean of health sciences in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the co-director of the Center for Transformative Research on Health Behaviors.
University Distinguished Professor Nikki Giovanni's talk "More Than Money: Less Than Sex" will explore what poetry brings to life.
