Capital Pride
Virginia Tech and the Ex Lapide Alum Society are celebrating Pride in D.C. For eight years Ex Lapide has had a presence Capital Pride. Help us make this year our biggest gathering yet!
- When: Friday, June 9 from 8:30–11 p.m.
- Where: Trio Bistro, 1537 17th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036
- About: Join the Ex Lapide Alum Society for a reception in D.C. to kick off Capital Pride weekend! Come to be in community, Hokie and Proud! Appetizers and two drink tickets per person will be provided. This event is hosted by the Ex Lapide Alum Society.
- Cost: Registration is free but guests can make an optional gift to support the Ex Lapide Alum Society fund and/or the LGBTQ+ Resource Center.
- When: Sunday, June 11 from Noon–7 p.m.
- Where: Pennsylvania Avenue between 7th Street and the Capitol (exact booth location TBD)
- About: Celebrate Pride with Hokies! Join Virginia Tech and the Ex Lapide Alum Society, the LGBTQ+ Resource Center, and Undergraduate Admissions at the Capital Pride Festival.
- Cost: This event is free but registrants can make an optional gift to support the Ex Lapide Alum Society Fund and/or the LGBTQ+ Resource Center.

Hokie and Proud
This summer we're hosting a special event called Hokie and Proud. Joining from anywhere is easy.
Sign up to participate. Registration is just $30 (a portion benefits the Virginia Tech LGBTQ+ Resource Center) and we'll mail you a Hokie and Proud t-shirt and sticker. You'll also receive printable coloring pages and Pride-themed recipes.
Then, participate in a Pride event near you and share your celebration online using #HokieandProud. This event is hosted by Virginia Tech's Ex Lapide Alum Society. Register by May 23 to get your shirt in time for Capital Pride.
