Join fellow Hokies and friends at a networking event in Northern Virginia, as we explore how Virginia Tech blends technology and art.​

President Tim Sands​ will provide a university welcome followed by a high-energy panel discussion from ​​Virginia Tech researchers on cutting edge projects and initiatives that are changing the way we live. Enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine. ​

Hokies in Creativity and Innovation unites and celebrates alumni working in the fields of technology, science, engineering, arts, and design. Connect with fellow Hokies, expand your business contacts, and discuss industry trends. A university update will highlight Virginia Tech as an emerging leader in creativity and innovation.

Panelists are:

  • Ben Knapp, director of the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology
  • Chris Williams,  assistant professor in the the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Engineering Education
  • Sam Blanchard, assistant professor of studio art in the School of Visual Arts
  • Paola Zellner, assistant professor of architecture in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies
  • Todd Ogle, Networked Knowledge Environments senior director
