Student Recognition Banquet

The Student Recognition Banquet honors students for their academic, leadership, and extracurricular accomplishments. The banquet consists of four award categories; Who’s Who, Outstanding Seniors, Graduate Man and Woman of the Year and Undergraduate Man and Woman of the Year.
The Who’s Who candidates are chosen on the basis of scholarship ability, participation and leadership in academic and extracurricular activities, citizenship and service, and potential for future achievements. The Virginia Tech Alumni Association and the senior class annually sponsor the Outstanding Senior Awards, which recognize exceptional performance by graduating seniors from each college within the university. Students and faculty of each of the eight colleges select the recipients.
The Man and Woman of the Year awards are the most prestigious undergraduate and graduate student awards given by Virginia Tech and set a high standard for all Virginia Tech undergraduates and graduates. The students who receive these awards best exemplify our motto, Ut Prosim, through their balanced achievement in scholarship, service and commitment to the university.
