Weekend of September 18 - 20, 2009

Virginia Tech vs Nebraska at 3:30 PM

Dear Classmates,

It doesn’t seem possible that it’s been 35 years since we received our degrees from Virginia Tech. We will celebrate our Class of ’74 35th reunion weekend on September 18 - 20 at the new Holtzman Alumni Center. The rematch with the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the spectacular Tech campus will be a wonderful setting to join with classmates and to learn about what is happening at Virginia Tech. Walk the campus, reflect at the April 16th Memorial, and tailgate near the stadium. Do not miss this opportunity to add more Virginia Tech memories.

Reunion headquarters will be at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center. The Inn at Virginia Tech, Skelton Conference Center and Holtzman Alumni Center are located between Price’s Fork Road and the Duckpond on the former golf course. Reunion registration will begin on Friday afternoon, followed by our Reunion reception and buffet dinner. Dress is casual for the evening.

On Saturday morning, there is a class brunch, and an even earlier optional breakfast for former Corps of Cadets alumni. Because game times are set by television schedulers for ACC games just weeks before, we will not know an exact kick-off time until closer to the weekend. As you recall, September weather (when our fall quarters always started) is pleasant, so a great time for us to reunion.

Lodging in Blacksburg and game tickets are being held for our class, but are limited, so register as soon as possible. If you have questions or would like help locating classmates, please contact Sam Albimino at alumni@vt.edu or 540/231-6285 at the Alumni Association.
