Virginia Tech vs NC State

Dear Class of ’84 Hokies,

It doesn’t seem possible that it’s been 25 years since we received our degrees from Virginia Tech. We will celebrate our Class of ’84 25th reunion weekend on November 20-21, 2009. We are delighted with the opportunity to hold our reunion in the Holtzman Alumni Center, Skelton Conference Center and The Inn at Virginia Tech. Please make plans to join me and other classmates for the weekend. The Alumni Association has organized a festive weekend of activities. In addition, we couldn’t have asked for a better ACC home game then against North Carolina State. It will be the last home game of the season and, with the exceptional talent of our Hokie football team, who knows what will be at stake!

On Friday afternoon we will offer an opportunity for a private information session with the Virginia Tech Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This session is open to everyone and especially for those of you with middle or high school age children considering applying to Virginia Tech. Of course, that evening we will gather for a family-friendly evening in the Latham Ballroom, which will be transformed into a “Hokie Sports Lounge” complete with tailgate style food, DJ, dancing and contests, including an award for the fan (of any age) donning the best Hokie wear. On game day, we will gather for a pregame brunch before taking a leisurely walk to the game where members of the Class of 1984 will be the honored reunion class at Lane Stadium.

The Alumni and Conference Centers will serve as our reunion headquarters. Lodging rooms and football tickets have been reserved especially for our class, but are limited, so please register soon. Whether it has been 25 years or just a few days since you last spoke with classmates, we encourage you to contact old friends and those from your favorite student organization to encourage them to attend. We want to make this reunion a great success!
