Learn how to maximize your Virginia Tech degree. Black Alumni who have excelled to the top of their career fields will share strategies and conduct interactive workshops. The sessions are
designed for entry to senior level professionals.
Session I:
How to Kick Start your Career
Presented by: Christina Brogdon '93
Designed for entry to mid level employeesTopics include salary negotiation, how to build professional networks, and how to transition into a new field. This session will help you define your professional goals and planning for success.
Session II:
Business Empowerment Workshop
Presented by: Bob Holloman '86Topics include, establishing a legacy of wealth, building and maintaining wealth through any economic climate, entrepreneurial: how to start your own business and where to start, and the power of home ownership

The program will have a panel of African American alumni from across the decades, sharing their unique stories, offer their expectations fro future Hokies, and entertain questions from the audience. This is a great opportunity for students to learn from alumni. - 2 - 5 PM

A Day of Celebration (Farewell Program)
The Gospel Experience, the Enlighten Gospel Choir, alumni ministers, and evangelists will lead us in a Sunday morning celebration and memorial service.
