Ferrari Symposium

  • $250 for all events of March 19th and 20th

  • $60 for School of Architecture + Design faculty for all events of March 19th and 20th

Note:
Payment of registration fees is required prior to program attendance. Registration will be processed when payment is received. No refunds will be provided.

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at the Hotel Roanoke and the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center. Space is limited. Rooms at The Hotel Roanoke are $129 single or $149 double occupancy. Please call 540/985-5900 and ask for the Ferrari Symposium rates. Deadline for reservations is February 20, 2009. Please join us in Roanoke on Thursday, March 19th as Bruce Mau Design presents a lecture illuminating the opportunities of design thinking in the 21st century.  The lecture will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by a reception and dinner at Hotel Roanoke. Attendance on this day only to lecture and dinner is limited to 180 registrants.

On Friday, March 20th, join us in Blacksburg for a lecture by Lee Polisano, President of KPF International, regarding new developments and dimensions of design, research, and practice. Following the lecture will be an afternoon discussion of research projects underway in the School of Architecture + Design and a reception.

Alumni are asked to contribute work for an exhibition that will be shown throughout the symposium on the subject of design research in your firm. Please see more details regarding the Alumni Exhibition on our website.
