Tanya Carter has served the Palmetto Chapter over the last five years, co-managing the Chapter Scholarship program, coordinating their community service project which provides toys to a local shelter, and organizing the annual summer picnic. She is married to Tom Carter, former President of the Palmetto Chapter and Vice President of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
Outstanding Chapter Officer
Gail Farthing -1968 graduate of Virginia Tech with B.S. in Accounting. Married with three children. Resides in Kingsport, Tennessee. Chapter offices held: Vice President for years of 1978, 1979, and 1980; President for years of 1981, 1982, and 1983; Board Member from 1984 to 1987; Vice President for years of 1988, 1989, and 1990; President for years of 1991, 1992, and 1993; Board Member from 1994 to 2001; President for years of 2002, 2003, and 2004; and Treasurer for 2005.
